Camping mat size guide: grey vs green
What is the difference between the grey and green camping mats?
The grey Weisshorn single mat has a thicker supplier-listed foam layer (9.5 cm) and weighs 2.8 kg. The green mat is thinner (2.5 cm), longer and lighter at 1.5 kg. They are different specifications, not just different colours. Compare the open dimensions below, then check packed fit separately.
1. Measure the sleeping space
Check the usable floor length and width, allowing for the shape of your shelter and your other bedding. Use the product's full stated dimensions, not only the “single” or “double” label.
2. Compare the actual specifications
These two Weisshorn single mats have different specifications; they are not simply colour choices. The figures below are supplier-listed specifications for the named SKUs.
| Option | Open size | Product weight | Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grey single mat | 187 × 66 × 9.5 cm, including edge | 2.8 kg | One mat and one carry bag |
| Green single mat | 195 × 65 × 2.5 cm | 1.5 kg | One mat and one carry bag |
The grey option has a thicker listed foam layer and a higher listed weight. The green option is longer and lighter. Those differences do not establish which will feel more comfortable for you, or provide a verified temperature rating.
3. Check packed fit separately
Need the mat to remain inside a rolled swag? Ask about that specific requirement before buying. An open-mat measurement or a shipping-carton measurement does not tell you the size of your complete rolled setup. Packed dimensions and compatibility with a particular swag are not confirmed here.
4. Compare the delivered cost and trip timing
Check the current price and delivery information on each product page before ordering. Include shipping when comparing options. If your trip date is fixed, check the estimate first; an estimate is not a guaranteed arrival date.
